Using a custom domain

By default, your Storefront is available at [username].shopco.com. If you'd rather your customers reach your store at a domain that matches your own brand — for example domains.yourcompany.com — you can set up a custom hostname.

Set up your custom hostname

  1. Log in to Storefront Manager.
  2. Navigate to Settings → General.
  3. Scroll to the Reseller Store Hostname section.
  4. Turn on the Hostnames Custom toggle.
  5. Enter your custom hostname in the field that appears.
  6. Configure a CNAME record with your DNS provider, pointing your chosen hostname to [username].shopco.com.
  7. Click Save.

SSL is handled for you

Storefront automatically secures your custom hostname with SSL. You don't need to provide or manage a certificate yourself.

Your default [username].shopco.com hostname continues to work even after you set up a custom hostname, so existing links or bookmarks won't break.

DNS propagation

After you add the CNAME record with your DNS provider, it can take some time to propagate before your custom hostname resolves correctly. If your custom hostname isn't working immediately after setup, wait and try again before troubleshooting further.

Troubleshooting

"Enter a valid hostname"

This error appears if the hostname you entered isn't formatted correctly. Double check for typos, extra spaces, or an accidentally included http:// or https:// — enter just the hostname itself, e.g. domains.yourcompany.com.

My custom hostname isn't loading my storefront

Confirm your CNAME record is configured correctly with your DNS provider and points to [username].shopco.com. If you've just made the change, allow time for DNS propagation before troubleshooting further.
